Sharenergy are working on setting up a Shropshire and Telford Community Energy group (STCE). See www.stcenergy.org.uk. There were three meetings in Whitchurch, Shrewsbury & Wellington in the first week of February to explore the possibilities of taking on Twemlows solar farm and future projects.

We’re proud to support the Reading Hydro share offer. Reading Hydro have now reached their target of £700,000 to install two Archimedes Screw turbines for a total of 46 kW, at Caversham Weir on the River Thames, which are expected to generate 320MWh of renewable electricity each year.
The hard work of all the people involved with the Small Wind Coop came to fruition yesterday when the turbine on the Welsh site reached completion.
The treasury have announced that Social Investment Tax Relief will not replace Enterprise Investment Scheme for community energy projects with almost immediate effect.
