New Community Energy Group to be set up in Evesham Vale

A new Community Benefit Society is being formed to steer a combined wind turbine and heat pump project in Sedgeberrow.

Stage 2 development funding from the RCEF (Rural Community Energy Fund) has been granted for this project which would utilise a wind turbine to power a heat pump and other electrical equipment at New Leaf plant nursery, taking inspiration from Sharenergy’s friends in Holmfirth whose community-owned wind turbine powers Longley Dairy Farm.

Evesham Vale Energy Renewables (EVER) is being set up as a Community Benefit Society to receive this grant funding, and to look at other possible schemes in the Evesham Vale area.
