On 13th June, Herefordshire County Council granted planning permission for a community owned solar PV array to be installed on the Bridge Street tennis hall, in Leominster. This is likely to be a 49kW array, (due to the changes to the FIT), generating approximately 42,000kWh of solar electricity a year. Most of this will be used on site by Halo, the locally based social enterprise who run the leisure facilities in Leominster. We will be launching a community share issue in due course, to raise the funding for this wholly owned community project.
