Dorst Community Energy (DCE) have launched their 3rd share offer that targets raising £445,000 by the end of July to install 700kWp of rooftop solar panels on 10 schools and hospitals in Dorset. The schools and hospitals will benefit from reduced price electricity, and reduced carbon dioxide emissions. Dorset Community Energy already operate 16 solar PV installations on schools and community buildings across the county, with a total installed capacity of 420 kW.
These shares will earn a target rate of interest of 5.5% once the panels are installed, with capital repaid over 20 years. Full details are available on DCE’s website, where we also have an explanatory video”
