Sharenergy supports new Shropshire and Telford group

Sharenergy is supporting the foundation of a new community energy group aiming to deliver a range of projects across Shropshire & Telford.

Sharenergy are pleased to support the foundation of Shropshire & Telford Community Energy group (STCE).  STCE is being established to work on a range of projects across a mix of renewable technologies in Shropshire & Telford, building up expertise and a track record which will enable community energy projects that might otherwise have struggled to come to fruition.   Without the support of the Feed In Tariff community energy schemes now need to be larger and to spread their risks in order to flourish.  The first scheme being looked at is the potential to take over the existing Twemlowes 10MW solar farm nr Whitchurch. STCE will be an independent Community Benefit Society supported by Sharenergy’s new Development Manager, Dave Green who can tap into Sharenergy’s wide experience of setting up and supporting community energy schemes.  If you are interested in STCE, would like to join the board, invest, put forward a potential scheme or just join their mailing list please contact Dave via  Further details can be found at
