Leominster Community Solar is a new co-operative, that plans to install a 50kW photovoltaic array on the tennis hall at the Bridge Street sports centre, in Leominster.  This will be 100% community owned – and it is hoped will be owned by people living close to the site.  This will give local people a share of the profits that the scheme generates and be the first of its type in Herefordshire.  Not only will it reduce the carbon footprint of the sports centre, it will also help reduce their bills, over the 25 year life of the project.
